Cabling & Fiber
ISP/OSP fiber optics, Cat6, Cat6A, OM3, OM4, OS2 and MTP trunks installed, terminated, tested and certified across the United States
Network cabling and fiber for data center scale
A data center build is decided in the cabling installation. Pull quality, bend radius, dressing and labeling determine how every future change and repair goes for the next 10 years. Documentation determines whether your team can actually find a circuit when something breaks.
We’ve installed more than 1 million cable drops, including a 400,000-cable project across the United States and a 10,000-cable Cat6 build for a federal agency in Sterling, Virginia. We’re a network cabling shop first, and the data center is where we work the most.
Our installers are trained technicians, and we test and certify with industry-leading equipment, hand over labeled as-builts and don’t leave the site until the documentation is correct.
What we install and certify
ISP/OSP fiber optic cabling
Inside-plant and outside-plant fiber optic cabling installed and terminated for data center campuses.
Cat6 and Cat6A horizontal copper cabling
High-performance horizontal copper runs pulled, dressed and certified to spec.
Copper backbone, riser and trunk cabling
Backbone, riser and trunk copper that ties the room together.
OM3, OM4 and OS2 fiber installation
Multimode and single-mode fiber installed for current reach and future capacity.
MTP and MPO trunk deployment for high-density runs
MTP and MPO trunk deployment for high-density runs between rows and pods.
Fusion and mechanical fiber splicing
Fusion and mechanical splicing performed in the field or in a controlled enclosure.
Termination, dressing and panel build-out
Clean termination, cable dressing and patch panel build-out at every rack.
Testing, certification and report delivery
Full testing and certification with report delivery handed over before we leave.
Network cabling design and field engineering
Network cabling design and field engineering to translate scope into an installable plan.
Labeling and as-built documentation per TIA-606
Labeling and as-built documentation produced to the TIA-606 standard.
IP configurations for network devices
IP configurations applied to network devices as part of the install scope.
Cable mining and abandoned cable removal
Tracing, cutting and removing abandoned plant to free up pathway capacity.
Typical engagements
New build cabling
A new data center room is opening. We pull, terminate, dress and certify horizontal and backbone, hand over labeled drawings and certification reports, and turn the room over ready for cutover.
Capacity expansion
Existing rows are full. We extend trunk fiber from existing racks, install new patching, certify the runs and bring new cabinets online without disrupting live circuits next door.
Fiber backbone upgrade
A campus is moving from OM3 to OM4 or going single-mode for longer reach. We install the new fiber on existing pathway where it fits, splice or terminate to new panels and migrate circuits on a planned schedule.
Abandoned cable removal
Years of moves left a tray full of dead cable. We trace, label, cut and remove the abandoned plant, document what was pulled and free up pathway capacity.
