Office relocations with zero network downtime

Small things are what cause a relocation to go wrong: cables left in the old ceiling, gear that did not get labeled before it shipped, an IDF that never got rebuilt before staff arrived. At XS Telecom, we plan, execute and close out the structured cabling side of office moves for facility managers, IT directors and corporate real estate teams.

We assess the existing space, decommission what is leaving, mine recoverable cabling, coordinate with movers and rebuild the network at the new site. Day-one cutover support keeps the helpdesk from drowning when staff sit down on Monday.

Multi-site consolidations and post-merger moves get the same standard scope and a single PM, so leadership has one number to call on day-of.

Typical relocation projects

Full HQ relocation

A company is moving its headquarters across town. We assess the existing space, plan the cabling and equipment moves around the construction schedule, decommission the old site and build out the new site before staff arrive.

Partial floor consolidation

A tenant consolidating two floors into one. Our crews mine the abandoned cabling, decommission the unused IDFs, redistribute equipment and document the consolidated network for IT.

Multi-site retail rebrand and refit

A retail brand is closing 20 stores and opening 25 new ones in different locations. Our crews decommission the closing sites, recover equipment and stand up cabling and gear at the new builds on a coordinated schedule.

Post-merger consolidation

Two companies are combining and shutting redundant offices. We plan the equipment moves, label and pack the gear that is being kept, decommission what is not and rebuild the surviving network rooms to a documented standard.

Moving day without the surprises.
